How to Bypass or Manually Program the HTC Merge Verizon ADR6325

The HTC Merge requires Over the Air (OTA) programming to be completed to function normally.  If an OTA cannot be done, then you can bypass the activation screen and manually program the device by pressing "Emergency Call" and follow these steps:

  • With the slide closed, select Emergency
  • From the dialer screen, enter # # 7 7 6 4 7 2 6 and then hit Call
  • Service Code: ____ will appear, tap in the box to bring up the virtual keyboard and enter the 6 digit code (Default is 000000) and then hit OK
  • Select NAM General
  • Select the box to edit the phone number (MDN=mobile dialing number)
  • Enter the 10 digit phone number by erasing any existing information with the delete key, then hit the 12# to change the display to numbers
  • Select the Back Arrow (next to the Menu Key)
  • Select NAM CDMA Settings
  • Select MIN1
  • Hit the box again, use the delete key to erase any existing info, hit the 12# to change to numbers again and enter the last 7 digits of your MIN (Mobile Identifying Number) then hit OK
    • If the MIN isn't known or not on your receipt, then call your carrier for that info.
  • Select MIN2
  • Enter the Area Code for the MIN using the previous methods of selecting #12 to switch the keyboard to numbers.
  • Scroll down to Home SID/NID #1
  • You should get a pop up with Modify Home SID/NID #1
  • Hit in the box to edit the SID
  • Enter the SID
    • If not known, request from your carrier or view it from your old phones. The SID is based on your location and should be the same as your previous phone.
  • Your NID should read as 65535, as long as it's correct, hit OK when done
  • Select Menu
  • Select Commit Modifications
And that's it, You're All Set!
